indesign 2021 update issue I constantly use alt + drag to duplicate items, and that doesn't seem to be working since I updated to Indesign 2021. I did carry over my preferences from the old version, but I doubt that matters since this seems like a basic function of the program, not a preference I had to choose.

To reset the preferences simply restart InDesign and hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac). After a few seconds you should then get a pop up box that asks if you want to reset the preferences. Personally I find this fixes almost all my crashing issues.
